Court tosses out complaint against Hanger Orthopedic

I KNOW all about retaliation, I went through it myself. It caused me NUMEROUS health problems. The every-day stress of being bullied and abused on the job takes such a toll on you physically and mentally that you eventually break down. If you are not IN-THE-CLICK, you do Not fit in and no matter how hard you work, or how dedicated you are to your job you WILL eventually be forced out. I dealt with this problem for more than 10 years. Stripped of seniority and humiliated, I was eventually forced to leave my job. So to anybody that says these things do not happen, you are WRONG. They do. And if you think your local unions can help you, you are WRONG again. I was in one that was "supposedly" fighting for me. The administrators change the rules to suit themselves. And there is nothing you can do about it.

Fred Homan has ruled in Baltimore County too long with too much unrestrained power. Executive Smith should immediately terminate Homan, settle with the plaintiff and bring in someone new from outside the County with experience and integrity.

The county should re-instate Ms.Grice and ante up the money. This is going to snowball and leave some nasty bodies along the way. Everyone knows how corrupt the county is going all the way back to Spiro (money is in the bag) Agnew. If I were Jim Smith I'd cut Homan loose and give the job to someone that respect the office and title. Homan probably has dirt on Jim Smith,so he can't let him go. Bring back Teddy V.

For the County and the County Executive to say that they were not aware of this long standing relationship between Homan and Berger that is completely false. Homan has long interfered with the running of the County Law Office and now fancies himself Jr. County Executive.

The allegations in the suit are likely the tip of an iceberg. Perhaps the Council should delay giving this guy a $40,000 raise and a 4 year term in office???

I think Jayne Miller needs to do an in-depth investigation on Fred Homan AND JIM SMITH.

What was Ms. Grice thinking? When she walked in in Homan and Berger using her office as like a cheap motel, she should have submitted her two week notice on the spot. Everyone in county government knows that you can't cross Fred Homan and survive.

Let's hope the court system takes a sizable chunk out of Homan's pocket on this one. As the Boss Hog of Baltimore County government he has always had his way and has always been untouchable within the county system. If you think Jim Smith runs the county you'd be dead wrong. The most likely senerio in this matter will be a sizable settlement with taxpayer money and a early retirement offer for Ms. Grice. Hohman and Berger should be fired for even sitting on a panel to determine Grice's future. I'm sure anyone intelligent enough to read this paper also knows how to spell "ETHICS".

There have been plenty of reports of retaliation in the county. There is also a REAL fear of retaliation for doing anything that would anger certain people. So most just stay quiet.

DC has two clowns. Mr. Pearson is one. His current boss is another one . City council needs to send them home ASAP.

Is Judge Pearson a racist? Is this all a vendetta against Asians... maybe Koreans in particular?

Let's hope someone in DC exhibits good judgement and fires this clown.

This guy is dillusional. A reasonable person would have accepted, and been glad that their missing article was found. If he was not satisfied with the service, find another cleaner! He should be paying the cleaner! Loser.

Explain, pray, how someone so long unemployed, suddenly leaps to the bench. I know this is D.C., where Barryism still pollutes everything, but this man should be struck off the register and his suit -so to speak - denied. That the courts would even consider advancing this case tells much about trial lawyers generally, and his own lawyer specifically. The Brits have it right: if you sue and lose, you pay. And, oh yes, no contingency upfront money.

I would love to hear from the people that are disagreeing with these comments. Why? Lets hear your reasons.

Why is this newsworthy?

I take comfort that everyone thinks he is a nut and his demands are insane... I hope he loses his pants trying to take to the cleaners that hard working family... not only that, he might end up in a mental institute which is where he belongs... but not before he is ordered to pay heavy fines and that family's legal expenses...

This shows how out of touch someone can get when he gets into a position of power. Power corrupts. I'll bet a review of his work on the bench will show that he's been nuts for a while and has generated major problems for a lot of people who did not deserve the grief.

This judge belongs to mental institution. There appears to be paranoiac mental dysfunction that is deviating way beyond a normal person.

Whoever the public judge files a $54 Million law suit over a pair of pants at tax payers' expense ought to loose his job - and really loose his pants. Shame on the judge just to think many braves loose their legs and lives for this country without complaint while this public judge goes crazy over a pair of pair of pants. This is not an American!!!

Our justice system suffers another black eye with a tunnel vision judge in the Washington DC bench like Roy Pearson. His $54 Million law suit is an indication of the total break down in the DC judicial system. Such a case should have been thrown out of review long before reaching a trial. Many thanks to ABC news bringing the little left in the justice system to the American people. Without ABC we would never have known how corrupted the Washing DC judicial system is. Can you imagine that the formal mayer was also in court??? What is wrong with Washington DC? The President lied to go to war. Many Congressman have conflict of interest and have little interest in serving this country. Lobbyist bribe to pass law for whoever pays them. I am sure that there are good people there in DC but it sure looks like a bunch of crooks and hypocrites are running the show!

This is just a testament as to how perverted our judicial system is. $54 Million is hefty in a rape case, but the fact that this is handled outside of anything other than Small Claims is a god damned disgrace to our country. This imbecile should be ashamed of himself, and the judge presiding should hold him in contempt of court. This man is obviously a lunatic, and no man should be presiding over a court if his mental state is even questionable. If only Donald Trump were acting Administrative Judge... "YOU'RE FIRED!" Jude Roy Pearson was so determined to rip off, ruin and destroy the little guy that he got into hot water. Now the water is boiling out of his control, it is too late for him to get out without getting burnt . What a greedy DUMB judge . AMEN !

Frivilous lawsuits should be evaluated and/or dismissed by the presinding judge of the case. I'm surprised this has gotten this far. However, Judge Pearson's behaviour is questionable and he should be removed from a position of authority. He seems mentally unstable.

Judge Pearson deserves a pink check . He made himself so famous now that he may have to prepare for another career such as janitors or laundry store helpers to make a living
