Meals on Wheels seeks help from mothers, grandmothers

BALTIMORE (Map, News) - Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is kicking off its first Moms for Meals campaign beginning May 1.

“We hope mothers and grandmothers will join our campaign and find out how they and the children in their family can make such a positive difference in the lives of our homebound clients who live in their community,” said Erin Boguski, Meals on Wheels volunteer services coordinator, in a statement.

I think this is a great way for the seniors to remain active and social and a great way to help others. We do that too at the Lansing Library in Lansing Il. We donate slippers to the soldiers as well as premy blankets and hats to the hospitals. There is also a Christmas Tree decorated every year with crochet mittens, hats, and scarfs for the needy.
