Brent Milleville had a career highs of four hits and five RBIs as the Stanford baseball team topped Nevada 9-4 in a nonconference game Tuesday, snapping the Cardinal’s six-game losing streak.

Joey August was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Adam Sorgi went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to a career-best 12 games for Stanford (14-15). Sean Ratliff added a homer, his fifth of the season, a solo shot in the fifth inning.

David Stringer pitched the final five schools innings to notch his seventh save of the year. He allowed just two hits, walked one and struck out five. Tom Stilson was credited with the win after pitching two-thirds of an inning in relief of starter Austin Yount.

Stanford resumes Pac-10 Conference play with a three-game series beginning Friday against first-place Arizona.
