What people that are not in Law enforcement do not understand is police men and women have to change at the PD. You do not want to drive your car home from the PD with a uniform on. Some pepole hate cops and some people would love to know what car or where a police officer lives. For that reason alone I say give them the 20min pay, There job is hard and unlike fire fighters not everyone love the police.

I don't understand this, ""Police officers will be compensated for the time it takes to put on and take off their uniforms.' Is it that this is done offsite? I don't understand this at all, being in uniform is part of the job. How about nurses? How about fireman? Should civilians be compensated for dressing up for work?
