Dog biscuits have now been added to the menu of foods pets should avoid due to the pet food recall.

Sunshine Mills Inc., an Alabama company, began to recall dog biscuits made with wheat gluten from China on Thursday, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Wheat gluten in some pet foods was found to contain the chemical melamine last week.

The treats are sold in Wal-Mart stores under the Ol’Roy brand name. Menu Foods also expanded the list of recalled pet foods Thursday to include products made between Nov. 8 and March 6, instead of the previously announced Dec. 3 beginning date.
