Coach Mike Nolan and the 49ers will have a national television audience for the preseason opener, too. The NFL revealed the opponents for all the teams and the Niners will host the Denver Broncos on Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. The game will be telecast by ESPN. The 49ers’ regular-season opener will be against the Arizona Cardinals on a Monday night.

The Niners’ second preseason game will be against the Bay Area rival Raiders the week of Aug. 16-20, also at Monster Park. San Francisco plays its final two exhibitions at Chicago and at San Diego. The Raiders host the Cardinals in their opener and finish at home with St. Louis and at Seattle.
