Dunkin’ Donuts announced that today, the official first full day of spring, all 90 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Baltimore will be part of the company’s first-ever nationwide Free Iced Coffee Day.
Customers at Dunkin’ Donuts can visit any participating restaurant today and receive a free 16-oz. cup of iced coffee.
The Starbucks Coffee Company ran a similar event last Thursday, distributing free 12-oz. cups off coffee.
“We see this [giveaways] because we were all sequestered during the winter and one way to get people thinking about going out is a great deal,” said Dennis Pitta, the Jay William Middendorf Distinguished Professor at the University of Baltimore. “As a wise man once told me, ‘There is no incentive as nice as a free hotdog.’ ”
