HARTFORD, Conn. (Map, News) - It was their first invitation to the big dance, but powerhouse UConn left the University of Maryland Baltimore County sitting in the  corner on Sunday. UConn drilled UMBC in the first round of the NCAA tournament, meaning the Retrievers are coming home.

But Maryland's Lady Terps are on their way to defending their national championship title, defeating Harvard 89-65 in action Sunday. The Lady Terps are back in action Tuesday. Read about it here.

I'm holding my breath for UMBC this season. It seems like they finally got the right mix of guys to win the conference and go to the tournament.
