Morrison worked as the chief investigative reporter for the Wall Street Journal editorial page from 1994 to 2003, covering Whitewater and union corruption, among other issues. He was the co-editor of "Whitewater: A Wall Street Journal Briefing," and the author of "Fire in Paradise: The Yellowstone Fires and the Politics of Environmentalism."
In recent years, Morrison has written for Parade Magazine and the New York Times. In January, he penned an investigation on tort reform for The Examiner.
"The addition of Micah shows our commitment to enterprise reporting in the public interest," said Stephen Smith, The Examiner's recently appointed executive editor.
"Micah will tackle high-impact issues that will be of great interest to our readers in Washington, as well as readers of our sister papers, The Baltimore Examiner and The San Francisco Examiner."
The addition of Morrison follows The Examiner's recent hiring of Rowan Scarborough, who joined the paper as its national security correspondent this week. Scarborough is the author of "Rumsfeld's War," and has covered security issues for 20 years.
