Authorities say the bodies of two females have been found in a vehicle that matches the description of a car belonging to two missing Montgomery County girls.

Loudoun County Sheriff Stephen Simpson told local media Friday evening the bodies were found about 2:15 p.m. off Route 9 near the West Virginia border. He says the bodies haven't been identified, and the cause of death is under investigation.

Rachel Samantha Smith, 16, of Potomac, and Rachel Lacy Crites, 18, of Gaithersburg, have been missing since Jan. 20, when they did not return to their homes after telling their parents they were going to a movie in Georgetown.

They were believed to have been traveling in a dark blue 1997 Subaru Outback station wagon with Maryland license plates MBJ-485, police said.

Investigators have said they have no evidence of foul play in the teens' disappearance, but they were concerned about the mental states of both girls.
