Montgomery County Police are looking for at least two men who reportedly fled from the scene of a fatal collision in Silver Spring late Sunday.

Authorities said the three-car crash, on the 8000 block of Georgia Avenue, killed the driver and one of the passengers of a Honda Accord that was struck. The victims were identified as Shawn Ryan Terrill, 24, and Ahmad Glenn, 23, both of Woodbridge.

According to police spokeswoman Blanca Kling, a silver Chevrolet Impala was headed north on Georgia Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. when the driver lost control, hitting the Accord and a Ford Crown Victoria, which were also traveling north on the same roadway.

All three vehicles eventually came to a stop on Georgia Avenue just south of Sligo Avenue.

Terrill reportedly died at the scene of the crash, while Glenn died at a local hospital Monday morning. Two women riding in the Accord suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did the driver and sole occupant of the Crown Victoria, Kling said.

As for the Impala, when officers arrived at the scene Sunday night, they found one passenger with minor injuries, who was taken to a local hospital.

“We think there were possibly three people in the car,” Kling said. “The one occupant who has been hospitalized, and two who bailed out.”

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating these men. Authorities believe they were injured badly enough to need medical treatment, so they’re telling hospital personnel and doctors to call police at 301-840-2435 if they treat anyone with injuries consistent with a motor vehicle crash.

The investigation is ongoing, Kling said Monday, and alcohol or high rates of speed might have been factors. But, she said, officers still are trying to determine the precise cause of the crash.
