SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - A fire in The City’s Parkside District on Saturday left one man dead, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a one-alarm fire at a residential building at about 6:30 p.m. on 32nd Avenue and Rivera Street, according to the fire department. The fire crew controlled the fire within about 20 minutes, but not before one body was pulled from the blaze. There were no other injuries and the damage was not considered major.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner said the victim died Saturday night but officials could not release a name because they were still trying to identify the body and notify the victim’s family. The cause of death was unknown.
