SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - You know things aren’t going well in your relationship when you have to send your representative out to tell people everything is fine.

Case in point: Lindsay Lohan’s rep went on the defensive Friday, denying on “Entertainment Tonight” that Lohan and her boyfriend of two whole months, Harry Morton, are over.

But gossip hounds are barking that Morton, 25, gave Lohan, 20, a one-way ticket to Dumpsville at the Chateau Marmont on Thursday night.

“She was too much drama,” one of Morton’s big-mouthed buddies told People magazine. “Lindsay did cut down on the partying, but with her, it’s all relative. Harry is sober. It wasn’t the partying that broke them up. Harry’s more low-key and not into the same stuff she’s into.”

But Lohan’s blabby buddies claim that the breakup was mutual.

“No one ‘dumped’ anyone. You don’t dump people when you’re 20 and 25,” a source close to Lohan said. “You have a mature relationship, and you take a break and you see what happens. Everyone does that.”

Kevin Connolly got to live the dream Thursday night, clocking oil heir Brandon Davis in the face, not once, but twice.

The “Entourage” star, who is dating Nicky Hilton, was at a party at Nicky’s sister Paris’ Beverly Hills pad when obnoxious Davis (who is rumored to be hooking up with Paris) started mouthing off about God knows what, so Connolly put him in his place.

“He just can’t talk to me the way he talks to other people,” Connolly told PerezHilton.com.

Crikey! Russell Crowe wants to play “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin in a biopic.

The Oscar-winning actor thinks portraying his good friend, who was recently killed by a stingray, would be an excellent way to pay tribute to his life and legacy.

“It’s not about money for Russell — it’s about honoring his friend,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “Steve once told Russell that he wanted him to play him in a movie version of his life.”

Madonna is defending her mock crucifixion that she performs in her “Confessions” tour.

During her song “Live to Tell,” the singer dons a crown of thorns and climbs on to a disco-cross. The pop diva has met with criticism all over the world for the stunt, but she claims that critics are misunderstanding her intention.

“It is no different to a person wearing a cross or ‘taking up the cross’ as it says in the Bible,” Madonna, 48, said in a statement. “My performance is not anti-Christian, sacrilegious or blasphemous. Rather, it is my plea to the audience to encourage mankind to help one another and to see the world as a unified whole. I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today, he would be doing the same thing.”
