Phoenix police say a man considered a suspect in two sexual assault cases is now in custody.

Police say 32-year-old Jose Ephrain Gomez-Gomez was booked into jail Saturday in connection with the sexual assaults on adult females in July 2007 and July 2009 and the assault of a 16-year-old girl in May 2007.

Authorities say Gomez-Gomez has no previous criminal record but was connected to the three assault cases by forensic evidence.

A search warrant was served at Gomez-Gomez's Phoenix home and police say he made admissions to both sexual assaults as well as the assault in 2007.

Police say Gomez-Gomez also was booked on multiple felonies including kidnapping, burglary and aggravated robbery.
