No surprise he plans on becoming a homebuilder once he gets out of jail for mortgage fraud! Home builders have been involved in predatory and illegal lending all along, setting up in-house lenders, inflating appraisals, and more.

People who commit this crime need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law - defrauding unsuspecting and hardworking victims of their lifetime savings, unearned home equities and financial assistance to their heirs! Will the victims continue to work 2-3 jobs till they drop dead to pay off their debts that resulted from this deal? What is the hope for recovery from their lost investment?

How bad would you feel for an idiot who went to vegas, bet on black at the rulet table and lost...thats how i feel for the poor homeowners...they would fight to buy a house becuase they thought they could sell it for a 200k profit in 6 months...guess what the market turned. "with no regulation" If I remember correctly, this state is run by DEMOCRATS dimwit. The mortgage groups ARE regulated in the state. Just recently a report stated that the regulators have not been doing their jobs.

My second cousin worked in the lending industry for three years and quit because of the illegal scams she saw being put over on innocent people. This story sounds like what she told me.

everyone wants to play the 'blaming' game but the truth is, everyone has made mistakes. This includes the lenders, the brokers and even the borrowers for not taking responsibilities for their mistakes. But ultimately the lenders are at fault for offering no documentation program, low documentation, and all other creative type of financing and not having back up plans before this mortgage mess happend. The lenders and the big banks should let the homeowners keep their homes until this mess is over. they should pay for their mortgage payments !!!

first off i would like to defend Eric Pony and Lifetime Financial , because i have worked with them on numerous occasions and found them nothing but professional. my aunt was scammed by the people,she was to close on her house this week.What recourse DOES SHE HAVE ? Someone needs to contact the victims,Now her house is not sold and she has already purchased another home!!!!!!! I am outraged! Is someone going to come to her rescue? SHE'S 72 YRS OLD.
