A Norfolk man whose infant daughter died from starvation will spend 15 years in prison.

A Norfolk Circuit Court judge sentenced Corey Bryant on Monday. Bryant was convicted of second-degree murder and neglect in July.

Prosecutors said Bryant's daughter, 10-month-old Miracle Bryant, died on April 8, 2008. Her twin sister, Heaven, was hospitalized for months.

A forensic pediatrician testified during Corey Bryant's trial that the girls had been starved for at least five-and-a-half months.

Bryant's wife, 22-year-old Heaven Smith, pleaded guilty in March to similar charges. She is awaiting sentencing.

Bryant testified during Monday's hearing that he didn't know his daughters were being starved.
