U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum will be at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas on Tuesday to attend a memorial ceremony for victims of last week's shooting.

Among the 13 who died was Pfc. Kham Xiong of St. Paul, in a district McCollum represents.

Xiong was 23 years old, married, with three young children. He was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.

Twenty-nine people were wounded in the shooting.

The alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was among the injured. Authorities haven't said when charges would be filed or whether he will face military justice.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are expected to attend the ceremony.
