Sentencing for a Central California woman convicted of murder in the death of her newborn daughter has been pushed back to later this month.

Nancy Ortiz was due to be sentenced Monday, but prosecutors say her sentencing was delayed when her attorney said she needed more time to review the sentencing report.

The 24-year-old Orosi woman was convicted of second-degree murder on Oct. 8 for abandoning the newborn girl in the back of a neighbor's pickup in December 2006.

During the trial, a pathologist said the infant died from hypothermia.
