Officials at a Texas school district say a Memorial High School football player suffered a neck injury during practice and was flown to a hospital.

Spring Branch Independent School District officials say a Life Flight helicopter was called about 5 p.m. Monday to the high school.

The Houston Chronicle reports the student's condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital had not been disclosed but Spring Branch ISD officials said he was conscious and talking as paramedics checked him out.
