A man who drove his SUV westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Tucson early Monday was killed when his vehicle hit a concrete barrier.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says 22-year-old Morgan Rip Lor of Tucson had driven the wrong direction for several miles and sideswiped a pickup truck at one point.

Despite damage to his SUV's right front tire, Lor kept driving, but eventually ran into the center barrier and his GMC caught fire. Officer Quentin Mehr says Lor was dead at the scene.
