I was one who was called in the voir dire for the Reed's 1st trial years ago. I still remember being on call for a week or 2. I was not selected but I have always remembered this thug's name. He was ID'd by a survivor to the best of my recollection.

The lack of details of Terry's life in this article sicken me. It causes hatefull and inflammatory comments such as these. Perhaps if people knew the entirety of the situation they wouldn't be so quick to judge. And if Texas keeps up the way they are, you just might get the death penalty for a ticket! And as far as "the least of us are virtually thrown away like yesterdays garbage", that is true, Terry is being thrown away like yesterday's garbage. I used to support the death penalty, but now that I know someone on it, Terry Lee Hankins, I am having serious doubt about its validity. Funny how it always seems to be people that grew up in a nice home that think abuse is just an excuse. Take a simple psychology course and learn about it before you make derogatory comments about anyone that has been abused. It DOES shape a person's way of handling situations. What he did was wrong, no denying that. But know the whole story before you judge him.

What next? Letting killers of children free because they had an abusive childhood or that the drug abuse is to blame.Good God this country & state have gone off the deep end. Keep your children locked up folks because they have no right to life. Our judicial system has taken off that blind fold and replaced it with a collect $200 and get out of jail free card. Criminals in this country have the advantage and the victims & their families have NOTHING. No wonder we have a bullseye right in the center of our country that all the world would love to target. It's all about me me me anymore and to hell with what is truley right. I am sickened every time I read or see stories like this.
