CHICAGO (AP) - Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan (AN'-kwahn) Boldin sat out yesterday's game at Chicago because of a sprained right ankle. Boldin reinjured the ankle in the third quarter of last week's 34-21 loss to Carolina, but had hoped to be able to play against the Bears. Arizona linebacker Gerald Hayes was also out Sunday with a back injury.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Phoenix spread the ball around and matched the best seven-game start in franchise history with a 102-90 win at Washington. The Suns are 6-and-1 after their sixth straight victory over the Wizards. Jason Richardson scored 22 points, Channing Frye had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Amare Stoudemire (ah-MAR'-ay STOO'-duh-my-ur) added 17 and 12, and Grant Hill 13 and 13.
BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - California star tailback Jahvid Best has been released from the hospital and will miss the Arizona game after sustaining a concussion on a terrifying fall in the end zone. Best landed on the back of his head in the end zone and was briefly knocked unconscious in the Golden Bears' 31-14 loss to Oregon State. Best has 16 touchdowns and 867 rushing yards this season.
