A memorial service has been held for the Del Norte parents found dead last week, apparently killed by their teenage son.

Neighbors gathered Saturday at Monte Vista High School to remember Tracy and Joanne Rinebarger.

Authorities say a 14-year-old boy, a freshman at the school, caused the deaths of his mother and stepfather.

Police have not named the boy or said how the couple was killed Oct. 26. Prosecutors will decide next month whether to charge the boy as an adult.
