Father files suit against DC for girl's death

To your reader that says that Kin-ship should be the only way. I'am a foster parent and I have seen alot of sick things since becoming a foster parent thing that I only thought happened in the sickest movies and alot of the time the whole family is involved not all the times but 85% with another 10% knowing that it has went on and doing nothing. The kids that are able to get help with good FP and good adoptive parents live great lives where they are loved and cherished day in and day out.. Look at the comments from the reader that was a foster child and adopted he would agree that there is good loving parents out there no matter birth,foster or adoptive... We live in a sick world that unfortantly things like this can happen. May these little girls rest in peace and the surviver have a better life now and this women will pay the piper in the end. Ecspecially when she reachs prison I've always been told there is no tolerence for those kinds of people in prison.

I'm a white adoptive parent to two lovely adopted biracial daughters around the ages of these girls. I dearly love my daughters!! What was this woman thinking????? How can anyone treat another human being like this, leave alone a helpless child who you professed to love in court when you adopted them????? How awful and tragic!!!!!

How disgusting...may these two girls rest in peace and pray for the lone survivor. I hope she won't be held in in a single person cell. Justice has it's way of creeping up on you!

This is so sad..truly devastating. Once again the system has failed. No one had done their job in a LONG time. A child has 2 run away in order 4 some1 2 c she's being tortured? Absolutely no excuse! We "taxpayers" are payin 2 much money 4 things 2 b done right..when willfolks do their job & stop just collecting a paycheck?? These 2 lil girls don't have 2 suffer n e more..they r angels. It's just 2 bad they couldn't have lived a normal, productive life and decided their fate. I hope we now exercise good judgment & b sure that this last lil girl gets the love & attention she needs/deserves~

Wondering WHY??? Has this women been charged with child abuse and not Murder and Child Abuse? What a sick, nasty, evil person...She will burn in hell.

Im a foster kid, ive been adopted and im about to live off on my own. My dad, or foster dad, adopted me when i was 14, im 18 now and i must say he has done a better job taking care of me than my parents ever did. Just because you have a couple crazy people out there that do this kind of stuff, doesnt mean a foster parent is not capable of showing the same love and passion as your parents can offer. Im white, i volunteer some hours at my social workers agency in California. Just because these kids were black doesnt mean they were mean to mistreated thats an ignorant assumption, ive actually looked over a few cases were black kids get superb treatment and quality care, as they deserve. The foster care system does have somekinks but what system in america doesnt have kinks, just look at are economy...where a great country not perfect. sometimes we just need to take a certain situation like this one and deal with it, cause it is a tragedy. We should go overboard and blame the system.

CPS strikes again. Once kid's are adopted, no-one check's on them. Foster care in many cases is worse than leaving the child in their own home. Kinship care should be the only option. No-one can love and care for these kid's the way biological family do. CPS is supposed to be protecting kid's, but of course they can't do the job their being paid to do. Time for an overhaul throughout the entire country, or better yet, abolishment.

What agency was checking on these children? This is an absolute outrage. It breaks my heart to know how long this child suffered. What kind of man could allow a woman to treat children in this manner. Why didn't the state know that the other to girls were missing over a year? After children are placed in homes there needs to be continued oversight. It is a shame that the life of a child has so little value in this country. I am absolutely sicken by this story. What I found more disturbing than anything is the calm demeanor of the mother. She is a sick bitch that does not deserve to LIVE! Do not waste my tax-payer money for a trial or death row tenure. This case screams justice right now.

Wonder if these girls had interested FAMILY members who might have taken them, instead of being farmed out to a stranger foster? Relatives are supposed to be given * consideration* when children cannot stay at home. Research studies have validated that children do better when living with FANILY

This is outragous and wrong they should have evaluated the foster mother before allowing her to have children-ask the children if able how they are being treated while in the home.
