Interest in charter schools up among KC students

It is shameful that anyone--government official or otherwise--would consider curbing the efforts to educate children. No demonstrably successful alternatives or solutions have been offered by charter school detractors. This is an unnecessary, incredulous fight that has gone for far too long. If the families of charter school students cannot count on the full support and cooperation of the government, at the very least our hope is that you would put down your weapons, step aside and allow us to progress for the sake of our children. What can be positively gained from pitting families against families, students against students and schools against schools!? If we hope to teach our children better perhaps we first need to but the behavior into practice ourselves. Healthy, effective schools should be celebrated by all.
