The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development says HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan will visit Baltimore Gas and Electric offices to discuss job creation.

BGE received $200 million in federal stimulus funding earlier this week for its smart meter program. The grant is part of $3.4 billion package aimed at modernizing the nation's power grid. BGE received the maximum allowed under the stimulus program.

HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan is to visit BGE's Windsor Boulevard offices on Friday. Donovan is expected to be joined by Sen. Ben Cardin, Rep. Elijah Cummings, BGE President Ken DeFontes, and Mayo Shattuck, the chairman, president and CEO of BGE's parent, Constellation Energy.
