Prosecutors say a former University of Vermont student who supplied drugs to a fraternity house cocaine ring house has been sentenced to six months in prison.

The U.S. Attorney's office says 25-year-old Bent Cardan, of San Mateo, Calif., supplied cocaine to the president and manager of the Lambda Iota fraternity house in 2006 and 2007.

Cardan also was sentenced on Wednesday to four years supervised release and must pay a $4,000 fine.

Prosecutors say Cardan's supplier, Allen Page of New Haven, Conn., is serving a 70-month sentence on drug trafficking charges.

Former fraternity house president, 25-year-old Christopher Duncan of Copiague, N.Y., was sentenced in June to two years probation and six months home confinement.
