SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - Katie Couric is ready to get behind the anchor desk at CBS News. Oh, and she’s ready to get married again.

Couric, who lost her husband, Jay Monahan, to colon cancer in 1998, says she is in the right place emotionally to get into a serious relationship.

“I would love to be married or in a really solid, committed relationship,” Couric told Parade magazine. “I’d love that now. But he just hasn’t materialized.”

The former “Today” host and mother of two daughters has dated Boston Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner and jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, but she hasn’t yet found that special someone. But she’s not dwelling on what she doesn’t have.

“I’m not going to spend all my time yearning. If you do that — it might sound too Zen — but you miss the here and now,” Couric said.

Father doesn’t know best

Speaking of dating, “Apprentice” judge Ivanka Trump says she

doesn’t ask her daddy, The Donald, for help when it comes to matters of the heart. (Although she seems to have no problem asking him for a job.)

“He has very strong opinions — which I try not to listen to,” Ivanka tells Stuff magazine.

The blond beauty also said that she is crushing on a few celebrities.

“I love Joaquin Phoenix,” she said. “He has a very sexy thing going. I don’t go for the typically handsome guy. Although I love Christian Bale; I think he’s sort of an Adonis.”

There’s no hurry, Suri

Gossip hounds are barking that the world will finally get to meet the TomKitten in the fall.

According to The New York Post, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has snapped pics of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and baby Suri for an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair. As with everything that has to do with all things Suri, it’s all on the down-low and everyone is denying everything.

“We cannot comment on where photos might be released at this time,” Cruise’s rep, Arnold Robinson, told “E! News.” Meanwhile, the folks at Vanity Fair declined to comment and Leibovitz’s rep said they “know nothing about this.”

Maybe Shanna should send out a MySpace bulletin?

Actress-former Miss USA Shanna Moakler is really disappointed that her husband, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, filed for divorce on Monday.

How do we know she’s disappointed? Well, she listed her current mood as “disappointed” on her Myspace.com blog.

“I am very devastated and very much heartbroken over the demise of my marriage and for the upset of my family,” Moakler wrote about her marriage, which was the subject of the MTV reality show “Meet the Barkers. “I still very much believe in the power of love. … I look back with no regrets and feel blessed for my experience and look forward with an open mind.”

He’s dressed, best dressed

Who’s the best-dressed man in the world, according to Esquire magazine? Why Daniel Craig, of course.

Who’s that, you ask? Craig is the new James Bond in the upcoming “Casino Royale.” Maybe five or six people remember him from “Munich” and “Layer Cake.”

Runners-up on the snappy dressers list include singer John Legend and hunky Oscar nominees Terrence Howard and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Axl Rose (who barely looks like Axl Rose anymore), Marc Anthony and Britney Spears’ 11-month-old son, Sean Preston Federline, topped the worst-dressed list.

Geez, Brit. First, you endanger your son’s life by driving with him on your lap and almost dropping him while being swarmed by paparazzi and now you’ve put him on the worst-dressed list! Someone call Child Protective Services.
