Terry Childs, a network administrator, was charged in July with changing the passwords to the network and locking out city agencies.
ShotSpotter, a system that pinpoints the location of gunfire, was scheduled for installation in the Mission district this summer,, according to Lt. Mikail Ali with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice. The City’s internal fiber-optic network was supposed to be the backbone of the installation.
