Richmond

Richmond, most of Golden Gate Park

Assault: At 5:25 p.m. July 17, a man arrived at the front of his apartment building on Heather Avenue and was checking his mailbox when he noticed a man standing on the sidewalk. The victim asked the suspect if he needed some assistance. The suspect told him he was looking for someone named “Dave.” The victim let the suspect into the building and suddenly was attacked by the suspect from behind. The victim was punched and knocked to the ground and his wallet taken. The victim was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

South of Market, China Basin, Embarcadero

Meth and beer: At 10:20 p.m. July 15, officers observed a subject jaywalk across Market Street. The officers stopped the subject, who threw a baggie of methamphetamine to ground as they approached. The subject also had an open beer in his possession. He was booked at county jail.

Taraval

 Sunset, Parkside, portions of Golden Gate Park

Fighting without a license: At 1:15 p.m. July 20, an officer responded to a street fight at Ninth Avenue and Irving Street and stopped one of the combatants from driving away in a car. The driver had a suspended license. He was cited, and his 1989 Chevrolet was towed.

Bayview

Bayview, Hunters Point

Carjacking: At 10:45 p.m. July 16, an officer was working station duty when a citizen came in to report that he was the victim of a carjacking. The victim stated that he was leaving a store on San Bruno Avenue when an unknown suspect came up to him and, while simulating a weapon in his pocket, demanded the keys to his car. The victim complied, and the suspect got in the car and drove off. The vehicle was later found by the victim with damage to the front end.

Northern

Pacific Heights, Marina, Japantown, Polk Gulch

Purse-snatch arrest: At 9 p.m. July 10, officers responded to Polk and O’Farrell streets regarding a purse snatch. The officers found the suspect on Olive Alley and arrested him for robbery and aggravated assault.

Mission

Mission district, Noe Valley

Busted a window, got busted: At 12:33 a.m. July 10, a suspect broke a front passenger window and entered a car at 26th and Shotwell streets. He was arrested.
