Tired of watching those gum commercials promising to clean up your dirty mouth? Instead, why not attend an event where trash talking is encouraged? On Sunday at 8 p.m., drop by “Dirty Words: Litquake’s Tribute to Smut” a fundraiser for this year’s literary festival in October, which will feature hundreds of authors and cater to thousands of Bay Area book lovers.

Sunday’s benefit promises racy readings from cutting-edge authors including Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket, culling from his latest adult outing “Watch Your Mouth”), Kim Addonzio (“My Dreams Out in the Street”), Ellen Sussman (“Dirty Words: A Literary Encyclopedia of Sex”) and Stephen Elliot (“My Girlfriend Comes to The City and Beats Me Up”).

There also will be a fashion show featuring corsets from Stormy Leather, plus the Twilight Vixen Review. The $25 ticket also includes two drinks and light refreshments. The event, for patrons 21 and older only, is at CELLspace; 2050 Bryant St., (between 18th and 19th streets), San Francisco. For information, visit www.litquake.org.
