Want to truly leave your heart in San Francisco, like Tony Bennett once crooned? Here’s your chance. Reprising its successful public-arts fundraiser for the fifth year, the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation is again calling out to Bay Area artists to create three-dimensional hearts — both 5-foot tall and 14-inch tabletop-sized models — which will be auctioned off at the annual Heroes and Hearts luncheon Feb. 11. The larger hearts will adorn San Francisco plazas and walkways throughout the summer before going to their owners.

Proceeds benefit the hospital and its trauma center; to date, the project has raised more than $3 million. Think your work is heartworthy? Submit a full-color design rendering (8½ by 11 inches or larger) by Aug. 18. Artists must live and/or work in the Bay Area. Winners will be notified by Sept. 30. For an application packet, contact Katie Moe at Kmoe@Ssfghf.net or call (415) 206-5928.
