kidnapping using the court system is very smart to gain benefits,big smile headed for the local bank with your child.This makes law makers and those involved in the case(s just as guilty as the kidnapper and never answer to anyone for there actions.This type of kidnapper we named it ( child custody predators for benefits).Rewarded custody and benefits every 10 years in a different county,same state.Laughing at the world.Fifteen years has passed now since our case and the last case just a few years back,not including the children before these cases.FBI,GBI,Local law enforcement keeps looking the other way.No one has anything to say or stand-up for except the victims of there legally kidnapped child(ren).To bad this isn't all a big bad dream,but it's not.

I grow more and more frustrated with this "family" upon reading each new article. I do hope they are prosecuted for the many crimes they have committed. It is such a shame that the plague of Baltimore City has spread to surrounding counties. To prove how if this was a crime that happened in the city it would have received little attention, I point to the case where the body of a teen was found in the city while these thugs were "kidnapped." Other than the possible connection to this "drug mystery" it received little attention.

Imagine how much faster this could have been resolved if the white people of Catonsville would have come forwarded and told police everything they knew. These hostages were held for 6 hours. Two cars were used to kidnap the children and shots were fired. But the white neighbors didn't see a thing. Many just didn't want to be snitches. What a shame. This crime has all the characteristics of an the Russian mob or an Asian gang. This is a hate crime and should be prosecuted as one!

What a surprise. Lets look at the truth. It was a drug deal with the older brother that went bad... The dealers took the teenagers to scare the older brother and mother into making good on the bad deal.. The mother called the police and convinced them it was a kidnapping and they wrongfully filled an Amber Alert. This probably saved the lives of the teenagers because the story got so much press, the dealers didn't want 2 more murders to deal with, so they let them go. I bet they will be found dead very soon.... as soon as things kool off. You see, thats the life of a drug dealing family in Baltimore. If you ever watched the Wire, you know its true, very true. The difference here is that is it now in Baltimore County. And Jim Smith only cares about buildings in Essex... Wake up Smith your county is turning into the city...

Some teens are not that easily discredited, however these fools have lost it. Must be withdraws. Soooo obvious and sick that they deserve jail. Glad I never used.

The next time they are "kidnapped" the police should take the report and file it in the trashcan. We will be hearing more from these two "youths" as their drug business grows larger. This "kidnapping" was a joke on the police and the media. The police should get DNA samples from both the boys, which will make it easier to identify their corpses in a few years.

Just look at all the underage pregnant girls in Baltimore's middle and high schools and most don't know who the daddy is. It not a crime in the inner city to have sex with underage children, through it is a crime in communites that cares about their children (which is why more whites are arrested for it, because we don't believe in the "Stop Snitching" mentality).

Even after the last episode aired on HBO, "The Wire" lives on in Baltimore. Do the police or anyone else really expect these kids & their families to give any useful information? They are not going to snitch, this will all be handled between the drug gangs.

As far as where the "boys" were, they were probably getting hazed. I bet they are some good old frat pledges who were picked up by their future brothers who blindfolded them, drove them around for a few hours and then dropped them off 40 minutes from their house drunk, stoned and armed only with a condom and a quarter and told them to figure out how to get home. Lets do some math. The County Police were involved. Ching. The City Police were involved. Ching. The FBI was involved. Ching ching. All were engaged in looking for these two veterans -- Not of the gulf war -- but of the criminal justice system. Ching, ching, ching. Ten arrests between them, most for drugs. Ching, ching. While I'm proud of Law Enforment for its dedication to service, I can't help but think this was a waste of resources. These two are what they are, and will continue to be, until the day the state has to pay to have dirt thrown over their pine boxes. Ching. My guess? That day isn't long off.

Where is the NAACP on all of this? I would think Doc Cheatham would publicly urge these boys and all other thugs to cooperate with authorities. The NAACP is strangely silent on this issue, and here is one where they can make a difference. Publicly say to these boys, "cooperate with the police, help bring to justice the group that kidnapped you and continues terrorizes OUR community". It would be the proper message to send into the hoods. These two boys are in desperate need of a male role, one who does not "sling" on the street. The NAACP should help with the advancement of these two colored boys by providing them with the mentoring they need, so whats up Doc?

Since none of these so called victims will cooperate with the police then the next step is for Baltimore County and Baltimore City to bill the mother of that clan (all of her offspring have criminal records) for the costs incurred. Why should taxpayers have to pay for such crap? Also, the residents of that neighborhood should sue the landlord of that house for renting to that lowlife. By the way, I always thought that giving false information to the police authorities was a criminal act. Can someone correct me on this?

Even though it regards in DRUGS,their safety is important. The same persons who think this is worthless news will be the same people in the media crying on tv talking about how one of their loved ones was murdered(HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?)if the story didn't get much accreditability like this one.But honestly I still think it was a scam to make b-more POPULAR

i think you are correct, they dropped the ball. I can't help but feel they were not kidnapped at all. but would love to hear where these poor kids have been all week and they turn up unharmed and the cops say this is over.

My guess is any publicity may be a bit embarrassing for the police force otherwise why would there be so little information available. Any other time we can read about all the juicy details. I thought I heard that a family member brought them to the police but am not sure of this. Seems like the police have dropped the ball with both this 'kidnapping' AND all the prior suspicious activity at this hom.

Westgate is still lovely. As a resident its a great, mixed neighborhood. This "kidnapping" has nothing to do with Westgate and everything to do with drugs.

These children do not reside in Catonsville but reside in Westgate. I am very familiar with both Catonsville and Westgate since I was born and raised in Ten Hills in Baltimore City and Westgate was just down the road and over the county line. Hunting Ridge, Ten Hills and Westgate were all lovely neighborhoods at one time.
