EXHIBIT

Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts' “Crossing Borders: Two Cultures/One Me/2008” features photographic work from Bates Middle School ESOL students involved in a 15-week VisionWorkshops photography program. With cameras, pens and journals in hand, the students documented their new lives in Annapolis, and reminisced about their lifestyles before they immigrated to the United States. What these photographs and writings reveal is the story of a new generation of young Americans who are a rich blend of two distinct cultures. The exhibition includes photographs and text-both are the work of the students. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase Street, Annapolis; 410-263-5544.
