I have been a Harford County substitute teacher for over a year. EVERY discipline issue involves a male black child. School officials tell me that when parents are notified, they don't seem to care. Logic would suggest that this attitude of defiance & "I don't care" has produced thugs like those 4 in the theater.

I agree, there are good and law abiding black people as many as white people. But black people defend the actions of thereblack brothers, just like the whites do. You better realized now that we live in a corrupt society. It will change, but we will not be around to see it.

Those feeling disenfranchised will never get what they want by violent means, and those ignoring those who are disenfranchised are living in a dream. Basically, it's called the lowest common denominator, we're only as good as the worst among us. So in order to escape the hell that ALL of us have created, we must work together. Those that feel disenfranchised must explain in clear terms what they want, need, and feel and the other side has to listen. There is a unilateral pride issue that is keeping the sides apart. Clearly no one wants to be seen as begging for something they feel entitled to, but reality says that Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and majority hating tactics just doesn't work. If we keep going in this way, an all out civil war will break out. It's time to stop the hating.

I get so tired of reading comments of the majority race complain about incidents from a racial standpoint and then wonder why Black people always think they cannot advance in society because of their race. I am a 27 year old Black woman who will be receiving my M.D. in May and I, at times, feel like going postal on some White people. Guess what! Many of us are educated, married, have less than 3 children, can speak proper English, name our children biblical names (yes, my son's name is James, not deuwayne). I don't watch Jerry Springer and think that ALL white people are missing teeth and live in trailers, so if you are so smart, don't generalize based on what you read or hear. Black people have a problem with the crime too. News is news. Regardless of what the races are, it was a very unfortunate event. Who knows, maybe you'll be relying on one of us gun-carrying baby machines when you get sick. Let's hear the slurs then.

Follow the laws or move out. Call 911 and or the county if needed on laws. Educate your self and take your neighborhood back legally.

Check with your county web and code enforcement offices on the laws to see if possible violations are occurring.

How many live in the home, are they related? There are boarding house laws.

There are only a handful of section 8, not free in the state. Anyone know how many? May I suggest calling 911 over the pit bull and noise, suspected drug activity if needed. Did the landlord register with the renters registration program? Check it out, landlord may be in violation.

I live in a white upper class area in linthicum. We have two home owners that decided to move to PA and go section 8 on there properties. Guess who moved in and dont give a damn about there property. We now have thumping bass music you can hear a block away..A neighbors little dog was just killed by a pitbull, We walk in the evening and you have to hear trash talk from there mouths and there stereos and there kids use profanity at the bus stop in the mornings. Thanks to the states "move the city to the county program" and im being nice with words, My home that I worked so hard to maintain is loosing more and more value each day while someone else gets a free ride thanks to our system of give give give.

The federal judge who mandated "move to opportunity," encouraging thug families from the City to move to surrounding counties deserves impeachment and I will consider a column on this horrible practice of MTO. Yes, the Sun has no excuse for not printing the race of suspects. Harford should adopt zero tolerance and show these thugs that the county is not open for business like Baltimore City is now. Race is irrelevant in terms of enforcement of crimes, though stastically one race commits dramatically more violent crime than all other races combined. That's a real problem as is gangs becoming this emboldened. Harford should take this as a wakeup call and start a New York-style zero tolerance model. This works, especially when combined with youth education programs, training programs, and drug detox programs. But gangs need to be addressed by arresting members and throwing the book at them. Otherwise, yes, Harford will become a playground for gangs.

I'm certain they are four welfare recipients from before they were born. Thanks to the Great Society and to liberal policies.Perhaps this family needs State Police protection like that provided for the Governor.

Housing costs are rising and the poor are displaced to the burbs. Maybe the people in the burbs should realize you can't run away from your problems. The folks in the burbs come into Baltimore City to use our services ( museums, inner harbor, theaters, etc) So, they should share the taxes and support the infrastructure. If they supported our infrastructure and helped by paying a fee to use these services, perhaps crime would be in control because Baltimore City could afford to pay for more police.

So, crime happens outside Baltimore City too? At Least the Examiner reports it, some TV stations prefer to lead people to believe crime only happens within the limits of Baltimore City.

What is all the griping about? According to the map appended to the article, all of this activity took place in the southern part of England. That is all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. Stop worrying about crime overseas and focus on the issues here at home.

As the prices of homes go up in Baltimore city, and more areas are redeveloped into prime real-estate in the city, where do you think those displaced people are going to go? As families look at the crime in Baltimore, and can't see that maybe their children are some of those criminals - in a bid to save them, where do you think they are going to go? They are going to the suburbs! It will be funny to see that Baltimore City will be the safest locale 10 years from now, and the crime will be raging out of control in the suburbs. The suburban resources won't even know what hit them, or how to handle what is going to happen to their communities. The best bet is to work WITH Baltimore to combat this problem. Not keep that us vs. them mentality, it will only hurt the suburbs in the future.

There had to be more people in the theater watching the same movie as the family that was victimized. Oh…they don’t want to get involved because they fear for their own safety! However, they enjoyed the fruits of the gentleman’s courage when he asked the rude movie goers to be quite. And we really wonder who is going to change the violent atmosphere coming to our counties?

Congratulations Examiner. Now the citizens of Baltimore have a newspaper that has the gonads to actually print the race of the criminals. Well, that's one county theater we won't be going to anymore. So much for safety. Poor video quality? Looks like the one in Churchville will the only county theater for us, since the proposed Aberdeen multiplex construction is still nothing but dirt.
