PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Map, News) - Tornado warnings throughout parts of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts have been allowed to expire.
The National Weather Service says trained weather spotters saw funnel clouds above waters off Barrington and over East Providence Wednesday around 4 p.m. William Babcock, a weather service meteorologist, says they have no reports that the clouds touched down on land.
There are reports of trees down in Barrington and neighboring Bristol, but police there say they have no reports that tornadoes hit those towns.
National Grid spokesman David Graves says about 8,900 customers were out in Rhode Island around 5 p.m., and fewer than 1,000 had lost service in Massachusetts.
The weather service warns that torrential rain and lightning is expected to continue Wednesday.

Jer 30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. Jer 23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. Na 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. You guys did this to yourselves - we warned you and you didn't heed the warning. God hates you! If you have any sense, you will OBEY YOUR GOD Maryland - that means you obey the laws of God and the laws of man! It is life and health to you! Isa 1:5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint; 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: I'm just sayin!

The small community of Moscow, Indiana was home to the largest, double-span covered bridge in the Hoosier state. Local news reports that E.L. Kennedy structure spanning the Big Flatrock River has been completely demolished and several homes flattened. This is a heavily wooded, rural community that is home to many farmers and a rather large Amish contingency.

Disasters, Hurricanes, Ice Storms, Wind Storms. You’ve seen the after-effects, entire communities without power. On average 3.5 million people lose their power in the US each week! A generator from MainPowerConnect.com will ensure your family has the power needed when faced with unexpected outages. With Standby Power, your home and business will stay warm, secure and well lighted. Sump pumps keep running to protect against flooding and food stays cold and fresh.

First thing out of people's mouth. What can the country/government do for me. When will people learn that you are on your own for several days, as it should be. I've been in Fire/Rescue for years and it's always the same with the same people. Around here the people are out helping the neighbors by the time we arrive and most have a stock of food/supplies to last 10+ days, that is except those (democrats) raised on the government dole, they wait for the government to deliver their next meal.

While my children and I were driving home from San Antonio a couple of weeks ago, I got tired and stopped to sleep for an hour. I over slept about 45 min., I drove through Cactus, TX just a couple of hours after their town was just about wiped out by a tornado. I was in shock then and shaking at the thought that we just missed it. The tornado flattend almost everything on both sides of the road. My children and I will pray for all of you. We will also pray for answers to come quickly to the people helping. With Love from Berthoud, Colorado

its really a sad, sad thing. this is my home town and its all gone. my family is okay. I don't know about all cousins, aunts and uncles, my mom's friends. It has really hit me hard and nothing can replace everything. my mom's husband built so much and everything is just gone. the gymnasium was dedicated to my brother that passed away and its gone. I would never hope for this to happed to anyone else. I worked at the Big Well one summer and was proud to say I did. It is part of our history in this country and is gone. I am still worried about relatives adn don't know if everyone is okay or not. I can only hope they are.
