SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - A body found on the right-hand shoulder of southbound Interstate 280 in San Francisco early Friday morning was the victim of a hit-and-run collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Amilcar Rodriguez, 25, was struck around 2:10 a.m. just south of San Jose Avenue. His body had been run over multiple times before a passing driver called authorities, CHP spokesman Shawn Chase said.
It was not immediately known if Rodriguez was a resident of The City. The only ID he was carrying was issued from the consulate of El Salvador, Chase said.
Witnesses saw Rodriguez ambling in the slow lane shortly before he was struck, though it was not clear why he was on the freeway.

How do you know he was illegal? How do you know he couldn't read English? Regardless of his ethnicity, he was a human being, which is more than I can say for you. You are an atrocity and if you are a San Franciscan then you should be even more ashamed!

Have you no heart for the family in mourning? There is no difference if it happened to be in this case a Latino, than a person of a different nationality. The reason is unknown why he was walking on the freeway. If he knew how to read signs may not have anything to do with the reason why he was walking in the freeway.
