WASHINGTON (Map, News) - George Washington women's basketball assistant coach Mike Bozeman is expected to be named the Colonials new head coach today, according to a source who said Bozeman has been making calls as if he were putting together a coaching staff.

Bozeman, 41, takes over for Joe McKeown, who resigned earlier this month after 19 seasons to become the head coach at Northwestern.

During his tenure, McKeown guided the Colonials to 15 NCAA Tournaments, including the 1997 Elite Eight and three regional semifinals.

Bozeman, the brother of Morgan State men's basketball coach Todd Bozeman, joined McKeown's staff in 2005 after six seasons at Bishop McNamara.

The Colonials roster includes two former Mustangs: senior Antelia Parrish, who Bozeman coached in high school and considers a member of his family, and incoming freshman guard Tiana Myers.
