WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Maryland judge sentenced an illegal immigrant to more than seven years in prison for coercing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution and forcing her to engage in sex with more than 25 men a day, according to federal prosecutors in Maryland.

Javier Miguel Ramirez, 35, a Mexican national living in Hyattsville, was sentenced Monday to 87 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release for sex trafficking of a minor girl. He had pleaded guilty in March.

U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein said the case was one of the most shameful human trafficking cases he’s seen.

“Javier Miguel Ramirez committed a depraved and morally reprehensible crime by using a 14-year-old foreign girl as a prostitute and sex slave,” Rosenstein said in a statement.

Ramirez knew the girl, a Mexican national, was only 14 when he forced her into prostitution from August 2005 through June 2006, according to court documents.

Ramirez instructed the girl to lie and tell clients that she was 20, court documents state. Ramirez took requests for sex by phone and transported the girl to residences in Maryland and Virginia, charging $25 to $30 for 15 minutes of sex. Most of the money went to Ramirez, documents said.

The girl was instructed to meet with 25 clients or more per day, prosecutors said.

She was dependent on Ramirez for housing, food, clothing and other incidentals. Ramirez also initiated a sexual relationship with the girl, prosecutors said.

When she refused to have sex with Ramirez or his clients, he pulled her hair and was rough with her. When the girl indicated that she wanted to stop working as a prostitute and return to Mexico, Ramirez threatened that if she went back to Mexico, “it would be in a box,” according to court documents.

To the guy who commented he will be deported as soon as his sentence is over but they still have to sentence him like anyone else. It is sad that the only thing people can focus on is that he is illegal what about the child that was damaged and abused by not only this ILLEGAL but by approximately 7,000 other men!!! 10 months times 30 = 300 times 25 is 7,500 .... Do you honestly think all of them thought this 14 year old was 20 COME ON NOW!!!

The Refugee Plan is administered by the state department. The plan is always seeking new refugees to inflate the numbers. These are heavy welfare users. They start on federal money, then are counseled how to switch to local welfare. They get such goodies as education benefits, low interest business loans, plane tickets to the U.S., etc. It is said that some will plant themselves in refugee camps, change name and religious affiliation, etc. in order to get on the plan. Spoke to well educated Russian on the plan - he was given job training, has own business, kids probably getting lots of educ and took his wife back to Russia for a sea cruise. They do not suffer the stigma of being illegal. Look at all the little businesses in the Little Ethiopias across the country, and upper class Ethiopian sitting around, sipping coffee - your tax money at work. Along this money trail are the churches, who also profit from receiving your tax money to administer the services. WWW.STATE.GOV/G/PRM

When will Washington admit that they are closing their eyes to this travesty? These are animals that prey on people. No authorities should rest until all illegal aliens are out of this country. We take in 2 million LEGAL aliens as well as refugeess from political and religious abuse. Don't they need jobs? Until we get leaders who care more about us than pandering to countries who urge their people to break our laws, these crimes will continue. Guess it's just too profitable to stop.

If Mr. Ramirez is here illegally, how about deporting him rather than giving him "supervised release"?
