Trees represent budding Olympians

SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) - Six olive trees were planted Tuesday at Joe Alioto Plaza near City Hall to commemorate the 42nd International Children’s Games, which are coming to The City.

The trees were planted by G. Bradford Solso, chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 42nd International Children’s Games and Olympic gold medalist Jill Savery, both from The City.

The 42nd International Children’s Games are endorsed by the International Olympic Committee.
