The “Literary Tastings” Thursday movie night program begins June 19 and runs through July 24. All screenings are at 7 p.m. in the Lane Community Room at the lbrary, 480 Primose Road. Here’s the lineup:
June 19: “Big Night”
June 26: “Babette’s Feast”
July 3: “Sideways”
July 10: “Mostly Martha”
July 17: “Chocolat”
July 24: “Eat Drink Man Woman”
The Literary Tasting program isn’t limited to films. The following programs feature guest speakers:
- Home beer brewing with San Francisco Brewcraft at 2 p.m. June 21
- “Food: Your Best Medicine” at 7 p.m. June 25 with therapeutic chef Karen Diggs
- “Write that Cookbook!” at 7 p.m. June 30 with Dianne Jacob
- “Cool Cuisine: Taking the Bite out of Global Warming” at 7 p.m. July 7 with personal chef and author Laura Stec
- “From Kitchen to Computer: Developing Recipes for Publication” at 7 p.m. July 23 with cookbook writer Peggy Fallon
- “If Robert Mondavi Can Make Wine, So Can You!” at 2 p.m. July 26 with wine writer and homemade winemaker Tim Patterson
- “Cupcake Fun” at 7 p.m. July 28 with Nancy Kux
- “Croissant Tasting” at 7 p.m. July 30 with the San Francisco Baking Institute
