Nicolas Cage is back as Ben Gates, the hunter seeking bounty hidden in American and international landmarks. Meanwhile, the bad guys are bent on finding the gems in attempts to sell them for a profit.

This time, Gates and his father (played by Jon Voight) with the crew from the first “National Treasure” work to solve a conspiracy theory having to do with missing pages of John Wilkes Booth’s diary.

DIARY OF THE DEAD

George A. Romero has made a career out of the undead eating the flesh of the living … and we love it. Nothing beats a good zombie horror film. “Diary of the Dead” is the latest chapter from the horror master himself. Here, a group of film students making a horror movie get overrun by zombies and must do anything to survive. There are a number of advantages to obtaining this set. First, the remastered version offers a nice, fresh cut of the show. Second, some episodes are extended, featuring scenes not shown on TV. Before “Sex and the City” and dozens of movies, Sarah Jessica Parker starred in “Square Pegs,” a short-lived ’80s comedy about dorks trying to fit in with the cool kids in high school. This three-disc set includes all 19 big-hair, gross-me-out-with-a-spoon episodes that typify lovely 1980s charm. It also has new interviews with Parker and fellow stars Jamie Gertz, Tracy Nelson and others. Their reflections about acting in what was, for some, their first real gig make this DVD worth a look.
