SAN FRANCISCO (Map, News) -

New USF men’s basketball coach Rex Walters revealed dates for his first two summer camps. Players age 6 to 16 are elgible for the June 23-26 camp. The elite camp is Aug. 8 and only top prep players age 17 and 18 are eligible. For more info, contact director of basketball operations Justin Baughman at (415) 422-2938 or at jbbauman@usfca.edu.

Glenn Dickey, I enjoyed reading your article and completely agree with you. Rex Walters will turn the USF program around and one of the key is the recruiting. Which, he has done an outstanding job and just today I read an article at the University of San Francisco mens basketball website. Perris Blackwell (Etiwanda, CA) a 6-8 post player has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play for the University of San Francisco in 2009-10 as announced today by head coach Rex Walters. Blackwell, a highly regarded player on one of California's premier teams, adds outstanding skill, experience and size to the Dons frontline. Overall, I have faith in Rex Walters and wish him the best. Goo Dons!!!

I agree with Glenn Dickey, Rex Walters has a good shot to turn the USF program around. He's done a great job recruiting so far, especially since he just got the job. I have always felt USF should have one of the pre-imminent programs in the bay area for the following reason; location. A player that attends USF gets the opprtunity to spend four years in a world class city. This is a powerful recruiting tool.

Glenn Dickey, I really enjoyed your article about the Dons. I live in NJ. but I am the father of 3 USF alumni. I am a Seton Hall alum(they actually played a home and home with USF a few years ago) but I have a "soft place" in my heart for the Dons. I hope your prediction of success for the team comes true. Fans have been waiting for a long time Richard Murphy GoDons!

Thank you, very much, for the USF - Rex Walters story. The only person who can stop Walters is his own boss, the Athletic Director. She is a known meddler and has a true, Al Davis, complex. The alumnai should keep an eye on her.
