BEIJING (Map, News) - News reports say three people were injured as passengers evacuated a Chinese jetliner at Beijing airport following a fire alarm.
The Communist Party newspaper People's Daily says the alarm went off as the China Eastern Airlines flight was preparing to take off Saturday.
It says the passengers were ordered to evacuate, and three people were injured. The reason for the alarm was under investigation.
A woman who answered the phone at China Eastern's office at the Beijing airport has confirmed the incident occurred but refused to give more information or her name.
