Ore. man gets 5 years for $3.3 million in marijuana sales

SEATTLE (Map, News) - An Oregon man has been sentenced to five years in prison after admitting he made marijuana sales totaling $3.3 million.

A plea agreement filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle says Rusty Boschee (BOH'-shee), 33, of West Linn, Ore., rented a trailer in March 2007. He parked it in Stanwood, Wash., knowing other people would pack it with marijuana - nearly 700 pounds. He drove the trailer to Chicago and New York, where he sold the weed.

Boschee was busted on his way back in April 2007 by a Wyoming State Patrol trooper, who found the $3.3 million in his truck.

At sentencing Friday, U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Zilly called it "an incredible amount of cash and marijuana."
