Soldier from Mission killed in Iraq

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Another soldier from Fort Hood has been killed in an attack in Iraq.

The Defense Department on Friday announced the death of 21-year-old Spc. Alex D. Gonzalez of Mission.

DOD says Gonzalez died Tuesday in Mosul of wounds suffered in a small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade attack.

Gonzalez was assigned to the 43rd Combat Engineer Company, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood.
