TUSTIN, Calif. (Map, News) - A gas leak in Orange County has stopped commuter trains from running but no injuries have been reported.

Southern California Gas Co. spokeswoman Rachel Laing says a crew was excavating on a Tustin street around 8 a.m. Friday and hit an 8-inch gas line.

She says the line was under heavy pressure and began spewing gas. No evacuations were called but Laing says the break was located about 50 feet from a train line and Metrolink trains were halted until repairs are made.

It's unclear how much gas has vented but Laing says it's a large pipe.
