Woman's body found on train tracks at Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. (Map, News) - A woman's body was found on railroad tracks at Tacoma.

A Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman, Gus Melonas (mel-OWN'-us), says authorities are investigating whether she was killed by a train or other trauma.

Melonas says the body was spotted by the crew of a freight train at 10 p.m. Thursday at the north end of the Ruston tunnel.

Melonas says seven people have been killed this year on BNSF tracks in Washington.
