Macy's West president Daniel Edelman promoted

CINCINNATI (Map, News) - Cincinnati-based Macy's, Inc. has promoted Daniel Edelman from president and COO of Macy's West to the new corporate-level position of president for international retail development.

Robert Harrison moves from president and COO of Macy's Northwest in Seattle to succeed Edelman at Macy's West in San Francisco.

Edelman will be responsible for researching and analyzing opportunities for international expansion of the Macy's and Bloomingdale's brands.

Macy's, Inc. operates more than 850 department stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico, and had sales of $26.3 billion last year.
