LOS ANGELES (Map, News) - Imagine trying to do your civic duty and just getting a busy signal.
An electrical fire damaged telephone lines used for juror registration in Los Angeles County, causing intermittent busy signals for some callers Wednesday, a Superior Court statement said.
Repair work was under way but service was not expected to be fully restored until Monday, the court said.
The fire itself was described as minor and was quickly extinguished.
